The European Union is the world’s largest donor of official development assistance (ODA). In 2013, the EU provided EUR 14.8 billion to improve the living standards and quality of life of people in developing nations. To celebrate this work and its achievements the EU has decided 2015 is the Year of Development. The EYD2015 was officially launched by Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, in a speech at the Opening Ceremony in Riga, Jan 9.
That 2015 is European Year for Development is of particular importance to Human Dynamics as a leading provider of public sector consultancy. At this time, Human Dynamics works on 39 projects around the world, totaling EUR 130 million of assistance being delivered by over 300+ Key Experts in the field.
The range of projects Human Dynamics engages in varies in both scale and focus.
The Constitutional Court project is only one of several we are implementing in Georgia. The number of people engaged in it belies the magnitude of the project’s impact. Strengthening the independence and capacity of the Court will have exponential impact on the lives of future generations of Georgians.
Similarly, the impact of EuropeAid funding is exponential well into the future. While delivering over EUR 14 billion worth of development aid in 2014 is impressive, it does not give a sense of the impact and change that has been achieved.
Thanks to EU funding, in the last decade in developing nations:
