Social Partnership Building

Introduction of European standards in social partnership for regional economic and social development. Emphasis on SME and business development, investment promotion, and employment generation. Training in social mitigation, negotiation techniques and international co-operation. Study Tours to Vienna and Brussels. Organisational and human resource development of the Economic and Social Council. The emphasis of the project was the strengthening of social cohesion as an institution for peaceful conflict resolution in economic and social matters. The focus was on labour market-specific concerns (dismissals, employee protests, strikes, salary policies etc.).
• To strengthen the General Secretariat through organisational development and resource procurement;
• To train Secretariat staff, member of the C.E.S., workers’ representatives and representatives of Romanian companies and executives;
• To spread and exploit other European experiences and best practice;
• To analyse the functional behaviour and consequences of various ‘social partnership’ models in Europe;
• To transfer know-how concerning mechanisms for achieving social agreement;
• Education and training for the purposes of team development;.
• Clear expression of C.E.S. board goals (“mission statement”).
