Policy and Legal Advice Centre (PLAC)
This project aims at improving the current system of harmonisation with the EU legislation, at supporting the development of national legislation aligned with the 'acquis', and at enhancing the proper implementation of the legislation, including the necessary by-laws and enforcement mechanisms.
The project will provide assistance in:
- strengthening the structures related to harmonisation and approximation of national legislation with EU legislation, including mechanisms for consultation of relevant external stakeholders,
- enhancing compatibility of national legislation with EU legislation,
- strengthening capacities of the relevant institutions (in particular the Serbian European Integration Office, the Secretariat for Legislation and line ministries) for harmonisation and implementation of national legislation with the EU legislation.

Requirements
Qualifications and skills:
- A university degree (where a university degree has been awarded on completion of three years study in a university or equivalent institution) in law, political sciences, European studies or other relevant areas
General professional experience:
- Minimum 8 years, preferably 12 years professional experience in EU policies or EU integration gained in an EU Member State or candidate/potential candidate country
Specific professional experience:
- Preferably 5, ideally 8, years work experience with the EU accession process on alignment with the EU acquis or on relatd policy planning/coordination gained in a EU Member State or candidate/potential candidate country
- Experience in leading teams gained in the public or private sector or in donor funded projects in minimum one preferably three projects with a budget of at least 1M Euro and a duration of minimum 12 months
Position: Key expert 2 - Legal Expert

- A university degree (where a university degree has been awarded on completion of three years study in a university or equivalent institution) in law
General professional experience:
- Minimum 5, preferably 8, years experience in law drafting gained in an EU Member State or candidate/potential candidate country
Specific professional experience:
- Preferably 3, ideally 7, years experience with harmonisation of legislation with the EU acquis, including policy implementation and coordination among stakeholders
- Direct experience with the EU accession negotiations will be an advantage
- At least 3 years of working experience in the Serbian legal system will be an advantage
