Human Dynamics delivers support for the adoption of the EU acquis in EU candidate and potential candidate countries through secretariat support to the Environment and Climate Regional Accession Network (ECRAN). Human Dynamics has a team of environmental specialists who working through the ECRAN project are providing detailed technical advice to EU's candidate and potential candidate countries on practical ways to incorporate the EU acquis' climate adaptation policies.
Recently, the ECRAN project held an ECRAN Climate - Working Group 4 Adaptation - Workshop on national climate adaptation policies and legislation (Step C Assessing Adaptation Options). The two-day event was organised in Ankara, Turkey, on 18-19 February 2016 drawing together key decision-makers for a technical series of discussions and training. The training was a follow up of the Step A workshop organised in Tirana, Albania in November 2014 and the Step B2 workshop organised in Zagreb in November 2015.
The overall objective of these workshops has been to enhance the understanding of climate adaptation action among a core of Beneficiary Countries’ representatives. Seeking to create climate adaptation policies and planning as a basis for action, and thus continuing the steady progress that has already been started on climate adaptation action in the Western Balkan countries and Turkey.
